Otsisin abikaasale kingitust, mis ei lõpeks jaanuaris. Sellest sai aasta regulaarset kodukoristust: üks inimene, kes käib meil iga nädala samal ajal, ja värsked lilled igal visiidil. Et see oleks päris kingitus, tegin sellest päris brändi — nimi, kaart ümbrikus, mida kuuse alt avada. Nii sündis SUKODA. Ühe pere jaoks.

I was looking for a gift for my wife that would not end in January. It became a year of regular home cleaning: one person who comes to us at the same time every week, and fresh flowers at every visit. To make it a real gift, I made it a real brand — a name, a card in an envelope to open under the tree. That is how SUKODA was born. For one family.

Kingitus töötas. Stella tuli koju, kõik oli korras, ja ta ei pidanud teadma, kuidas.

The gift worked. Stella came home, everything was in order, and she did not have to know how.

Iga visiidi jaoks tuli lilled eraldi tellida. Koduhooldajaga tuli aeg kokku leppida, see enda kalendrisse panna ja Stellale edasi saata, et ka tema teaks. Kui üks nädal ei sobinud, algas sama ring otsast. Ventilatsioonifiltrid, pesumasina hooldus, garantiipaberid — kõik oli olemas, aga laiali: SMS-ides, telefonis, sahtlis ja minu peas.

Flowers had to be ordered separately for every visit. A time had to be agreed with the housekeeper, put into my calendar and forwarded to Stella so she would know too. If one week did not suit, the same round started over. Ventilation filters, washing machine maintenance, warranty papers — all of it existed, but scattered: in text messages, on the phone, in a drawer and in my head.

Siis sai selgeks, et sellist teenust turul ei ole. Mitte koristust — seda pakuvad paljud. Vaid kohta, kus kodu ja inimesed, kes selle eest hoolitsevad, on ühes süsteemis. That is when it became clear that no such service existed. Not cleaning — plenty of people offer that. But a place where a home and the people who care for it are in one system. And the same the other way round: a housekeeper, a florist or a handyman has no good place to manage their clients and times. They do their work well and spend their evenings on messages.
